understood finster, but this is a different problem now. Note that its not just that i cant get an ip address with this patch. Its that the PPC completely freezez.
Nevertheless I gived it a shot. One problem though. In order to get into and out of flight mode I have to touch the connections page. And that is not a place my little stylus had better get close to w/ this patch. Not unless its hungering to punch itself into the tiny hole at the bottom left.. Snicker.

btw the two file wavedev.dll & mfcce300.dll should fix the bt issue because I've learn the rom core, there was a conflict in ram address, see below: Wavedev conflicted with intshare at ram address Ram Address: 01290000 Ram Address: 01291000 Ram Address: 01292000 Ram Address: 01293000 Ram Address: 01294000 Ram Address: 01295000 Ram Address: 01296000 and for mfcce300.dll is conflicted with bthuart.dll at ram address Ram Address: 01C80000 Ram Address: 01C81000 Ram Address: 01C82000 Ram Address: 01C83000 Ram Address: 01C84000 so theorytically speaking, the two files should fixed some issue with BT and internetsharing if the both function is been use for the same time, since they overlap each other ram memory, sound & Internetsharing or Bluetooth with any app that use mfcce300.dll, or generaly make the system unstable in some function... the two files it self will fix that, not the registry value that I added to platformxxx.reg for ms2_usbfn.dll... so u might extract the two files from the cab, or remove the platformxxx.reg from the cab. hmm... I think we need to patch other device driver (ms2_usbfn.dll) hopes that will fix the problem... |

I took the plunge and install it on my AKU 3.3. It seems to fix the bluetooth problem I think, because now Bluetooth turns on and off correctly and almost instantly. Whereas, it was very iffy prior to the update.
As far as ActiveSync goes, I can't confirm yet, because prior to update, it seems to connect with PC after I reboot it several times, in which I did today before the update. But I'll keep monitoring to see. |

Hi guys pretty new to the forums, anyways I got 2 ppc 6700s, 1 is my main unit the other is my test unit. Thought I could help out. Anyways I installed aku 3.5 and imported the reg folder usbnf from aku 3.3. Didnt work, and had the same problems. Anyways I decided to use software from my Treo 700wx. Its a cab file from the Palm site called USB switch (basically if you have problems conencting through USB). The software switches from serial USB to RNDIS USB connections. I switched the unit to RNDIS and viola! Active sync recognized my 6700!! its starts syncing, it will sync files on my PPC but not calender & contacts. I get an error code from Active sync. Support code:800700c1. Mehh it was worth a shot.. Oddly though since I have installed USB switch and left it on RNDIS USB my test unit is not freezing up??

Tells us it is, indeed, a dll conflict problem.
I'm rolling back to 3.3 though.. See if WMP has issues. I've noted that even w/ a headset under 3.5 the first 30 seconds of WMP skips, just like in bluetooth. |
