Re: Switching phone from alltel to sprint
I would hold out for a deal on a sprint 67, so that you dont have to deal with all the mumbo jumbo on trying to get a non sprint phone on the sprint network. Sprint like to deal only with their phones and makes it difficult for people to bring outside phone to their network.

Re: Switching phone from alltel to sprint
Changing roms will not be just like.....hey i want to be on verizon...so let me change to a verizon rom...it does not work like that, yes granted you will need the rom of the provider you are switching to ("Official Rom" WM5 to activate to avoid issues), but the phone providers...need to add the phones...ESN..etc...to the network..and there is where the headaches begin.....it is just with Verizon/Sprint where the inputting outside/other provider to their network is a PITA most of the time it is a "no", the thinking would be " You want to use our network well buy our phone" ....other phone providers have no trouble in taking the phone on the network...if...and this is if...their network supports CDMA (67 is a CDMA network phone), the carrier cust on the rom kitchen will show the CDMA providers that use the 67.
example: ATT is not on the kitchen rom list since they are not a CDMA network provider Last edited by Unknown Zone; 03-21-2008 at 08:25 PM. |

Re: Switching phone from alltel to sprint
I've spent 48 hours reading and doing things. I've been successful to a large extent but have this small problem. http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=22094
Please tell me what I should do?
