BT PAN works on your Telus phone? If so, please give more info for the rest of us.

I've tried even publishing a service to the registry manually

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\BTPAN1\Associations\device 1]
"Address"=hex:00,00,00,00,00,00
"ServiceId"="{00001115-0000-1000-8000-00805f9b34fb}"
"SSID"="FriendlyDevice"
"Priority"=dword:1

All the other settings you gave look good. I've done a little matrix tweaking of a couple of the dword flags and got nothing from PAN. The incoming COM port works but won't get an IP to route. I'm wondering if VZW embedded something like the dial code ##3328873 (password 000000) to lock this down?

phakeorama do you get anything when you dial ##3328873?

VZW code list I found is:

##778 EPST.exe ##778
##7764726 EPST.exe ##7764726
##374 EPST.exe ##374
##775 EPST.exe ##775
#4357 EPST.exe #4357
##33284 FieldTrial.exe
##3328873 EPST.exe ##3328873
##3424 DMRouter.exe

Not sure if this has something to do with the PAN not working. I assume EPST.exe is VZW's

short

Colonel,
i reflashed my phone (verizon) back to 2.2 (from beta 2) because i was not able to call *228 to program updates for my service. But i still could not do it. I could call *611 to connect to verizon. I gave up and re-flashed to your beta 2. but now i cant get active sync to sync anything. i can get connected but can not sync. any ideas

i did a hard reset twice after every upgrade.

EDIT: it is working now. I don't know what happened but now when it syncs it comes up with a window that says "syncronized" "Support code 80070002" but i think it is synced???

Not sure on this since I have Sprint. Are you refering to USB connected activesync or Verizons OTA sync? I know others have had some issues. You might want to go back to an official upgrade and make sure everything works. Then you can move to a custom and see if it really is the custom that is causing the issues.

colonel,
not sure if you've run into this or not, but every once and a while (at work, 50% of the time at home) i get a message stating that i have connected an unrecgonized usb device when i plug my 6700 in. at work, it goes away and then syncs, at home it never syncs or charges after this message, i just have to unplug my phone and plug it back in. it isn't a huge deal at work since i can just tell it to sync with the exchange server (actually i think i set it to already), but at home its a huge deal.

goto settings connections tab, then tap on "usb to pc" icon.
Uncheck box and close.
Try activesync again

Are you using A/S beta 4.5? I get a message every once and a while where it disables USB connections.
