I'm actually hoping that, when i post it, colonel will consider and move to kitchen based builds. Then we can all use the kitchens to adapt and change based from his work.

His is the best improvement I have ever seen to any rom, and its why i'm spending so much time trying to do this. I want ALL of his changes, plus a few of my own commercial apps put on it.

If this works out, we will all be able to take a build, add/subtract what we like dont like, and then exec a build to the kitchen. From what I saw that was what helmi was hinting we should consider and it does indeed appear to work.

the trick has been to preserve the colonels work. I think i'm very close to having that.

Except I don't understand Kitchen and how to use it. None of the Tutorials are very good that I have seen. I have been stuck taking what I can get from whoever releases their roms.

snicker. well some are working towards getting the wicki so it will give a step by step.

for me, what i do now for a "build"

1. get helmis kitchen rar.
2. get colonels current.
3. execute a batch file {that extracts the kitchen, and applies some of the colonels customizations}
4. execute another batch file {that builds the rom image}.
5. execute another batch file the enclodes the rom.
6. flash the rom.

To add / remove modules from a build then its as simple as adding or deleting directories from the kitchen OEM's.

an OEM is effectively the "recipe" for the cook in the kitchen to add an application to a rom. the cook in the kitchen is quite good and can make any "recipe".

So. somebody takes an application "cab" and makes an OEM recipe for it.

From there anybody can take a functional kitchen, copy the recipe into it, and tell the cook to make a rom.

much like installing a cab on the phone really...

Let me look through the registry again. Any other keys you can think of?
