Also, I have not been able to figure out how to change the color of the font in the smart dialer. You may have noticed that it is gray and hard to read. Let me know if anyone has any ideas.
Here ya go, try this.

Edit in registry using total commander or any registry tool edit the following key:
\HKLM\\Security\Phone\Skin\PROGRESS\portrait\text\ textColor
change the Value:0 to Value:4278124286

Do the same thing for Landscape key:
\HKLM\\Security\Phone\Skin\PROGRESS\landscape\text \textColor

naigaboy, I do not have those keys. I tried adding them, but I need to know this, is it
[HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin\PROGRESS\portrait\text]
textColor is the value with 4278124286 as either a binary(hex) or a dword

or

[HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin\PROGRESS\portrait\text\te xtColor]
then some other named entry here

My registry stops here:
[HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin]

Are we sure that the Apache even has an 802.11g-capable radio in it? I thought it was determined to be B only.

I don't know if Remote Desktop is a VNC based solution, but I'd guess it's more akin to Microsoft's Remote Desktop program (which doesn't interact with the remote console session, but starts a new user session with a local operator interface)

Unless Remote Desktop is a VNC derivative, it's nice to have both apps as they serve very different purposes. (plus, Microsoft's RemoteDesktop service isn't available on pre-XP machines, but VNC based services are)
Exactly. The VNC viewer is used with an open source (freeware) server that is available for free download and will run on everything from Win98 to Unix mainframes. Just search for UltraVNC (my personal favorite server).

VNC isn't compatible with Windows Remote Desktop, but it's a very quick, simple, yet elegant way to remote control your computer. You can even use a Java enabled explorer window to control your home computer from anywhere you can find a web browser.

Look for the sticky about the ftp in this forum for the log in info.

Can someone please pull tmail.exe either from their phone or a dump file? I tried playing with some other tmail files from other roms, but ran into problems. Somehow, the original that was in the rom disappeared. Anyway, you could probably just explore the phone while synced and pull it from there. Thanks.

I attached the tmail folder in zip format from a dump of the helmi 3.3 Apache ROM. Hope this helps.
