As long as you stay on the same AKU, which in this case is 3.3 for both roms, you should be fine. In fact even the pim.vol issue shouldn't occur if you copy from Colonel's first rom to this one, or even to any other custom 3.3 rom

colonel, the bars problem with themes pre-dates AKU 3.3... I can always get around it by loading Guava Bubbles in-between any other themes. It's just a wierdness of WM5, it seems.

The colors are actually coded in the registry. I just do not know exactly how to fix this. I have some ideas, but I really need someone to find me the matching colors and the hex values to go along with it.

How again do you change the logo the PPC starts up with? Is it something in the \windows folder I can just replace drop in?

Anyone else's smart dialer not working on beta2? I'm assuming this has something to do with the sdmemory.dll reference in the OP - how do I go about fixing this by hand?

Does this load the sprint stuff or is it safe for us Verizon folks too. :)

The Verizon download comes with the Verizon ExtRom (unless I screwed this up too). It will tell you during the install if it is.

Doh. I was totally diggin that skin until I started dialing and realized "hey, where'd the SD go?" I wonder if tossing on one of the zphone skins will fix it temporarily. I can't seem to get to smart dialer options from the phone menu either. Will try after I grab some dinner.

Loving the rest of it for sure though. Keep up the good work :)

Enable smartdialer: HKLM\Security\Phone\Skin
change enabled from 0 to 1

Don't know why this got changed. Also, Smartdialer does not match. Anyone know how to fix this easily?

Perhaps wrong place to ask but ya gotta start somewhere...

I cooked my own ROM and it seems as though I was successful as the unit boots and there are files I added to the kitchen on the unit and files I deleted (from colonel's ROM) missing from the unit.

Seems ok.

upon first boot I am not prompted to do the setup wizard.

You know; timezone, show us you can copy an appointment, skip the password...

It also didn't run the ExtRom installs... Gotta a custom there, too.

If I install the UnlockExtendedROM and go to the ExtRom and run Autorun it does the installs and reboots.

But why didn't it upon first boot of custom rom?

Icons being lost in shortcuts today item--leftmost one (smartskey?) never did appear but that prog doesn't have an icon in prog menu so that's prob the issue there

sorry, not at home. It is just more refined with some more goodies. You could probably do a backup and restore. More info tomorrow once people find it. ;) :D

Ok. I will, but last time I restored a Hemi 3.3 rom it doesnt put in my inboxes properly even with the inbox hack. It has never backed up a 3.3 yet with SPB Backup. All other rom versions it did perfectly. Wonder why?

2. Is there anyway to erase some of the programs you auto install??
If I goto add/remove programs, I see the SwartB SmartDeviceCab1 and Beemer Null Keyboard.

3. HOW do I >>>SDMemory.dll I packaged the wrong ExtRom so this will have to be done manually.

Im currently in the process of trying to learn the cooker myself and so far am having some success with the rom. The OEM stuff is next but Im kinda waiting for some mor emodules to choose from.

In the meantime I was wondering if I could convince you to incorperate the SPB Black_47 theme (Today, Dialer, Calc, WMP10) into your excellent rom. I also make a couple of reg tweaks that I think really make this a terrific setup. I do believe others will agree.

I modify #6 to 00 00 00 00 (Today seperator line color black)
I add a binary key named 40 and C2 06 06 00 (Tapdots)

I know everyone has some wants for you to add and as such I cannot expect anything but at least I can ask. I think many would like this instead of green/blue in B2 :)

Nevermind, I am an idiot. I found the HTC Task Manger program to close the programs when you click the "x". It was under start, settings, system.

Also, love the crossbow theme and sounds.
