Hey Colonel, just flashed and tried the link you have for your custom AKU3.3 and it says the ROM is not designed for my device? I'm using a Sprint PPC 6700 and I had no problems with it last night. Had to flash today to get my contacts back and when I tried to install again... that happened? Any ideas?

Are you using MaUpgradeUt_noID.exe to do the flash?

Also, did you put the 6700 in bootloader mode before you started?

Well, by flash, I meant hard reset, but yeah I did put it into boot loader. How do you actually flash the device to defaults?

A hard reset will send you back to the rom defaults. It is recommended to do this before any upgrade, but not absolutely necessary. Then you should put you phone in bootloader mode, run the flash utility, then hard reset when it is done. Did you do this?

Hey colonel, how's it coming along? Hope this project hasn't "consumed you" but I can't wait to give your new rom a spin.

Also, does anyone have any idea why all 3.x AKU's seem to crash iGuidance, and is there any workaround? Just wanted to bring this up here in case there's a possible fix that could be incorporated in the new rom.

Dunno as I use TomTom (which works great ) but it would be really helpful to know whether Iguidance has problems also on official AKU 3.x ROMs. Maybe do some google searches for Iguidance AKU (or do they have a forum you could search or ask on?) to find out if this is an incompatibility with something MS put in AKU 3.3, or if it's something Helmi put in his custom rom that's causing it to barf.

Sadly, iGuidance 3.0.1 is a North-American version only. AFAIK there aren't any official AKU 3.x pdaphones here yet--so I'm not sure it's even possible to do any sort of conclusive test.

Thoughts?

Hmmm, hard reset, put the device into bootloader and then ran your AKU 3.3 build and it still gives me the Error 150. Not designed for me device crap.

It worked perfectly fine last night... really confused here.

Well or even stop by a Wizard/Universal forum and see if any US GSM users on AKU 3.x are having problems with it.

Basically, find out is it an Apache 3.x problem or a more general 3.x problem. That would help (I think).

reese, try going back to the Official Sprint upgrade. I think someone else had this problem and going back to an official upgrade first fixed it. I know this is getting to be a huge thread, but you might want to go back through it and find the post.

FYI, beta2 almost done and I think I have some sweet additions that everyone will like. Not even sure if I will announce them or just let people discover them on their own
