Hi. Just wanted to say thanks Colonel for putting together a fantastic ROM. I found this site and your ROM as a last ditch effort before calling Verizon and getting them to take my XV6700 back. Now with your ROM this device is finally working like it should out of the box, and I'm thrilled. Thanks for your work.

One request if I may. My boss and my co-workers are now asking me to perform this upgrade for them. I'm confident that they'll like it, but now that I'm doing it with multiple devices, I'd like to have a stock Verizon ROM on hand to revert to in case of any problems. I believe that was up on the FTP a couple of days ago, but I don't see it today. Could someone point me to it if it is still there, or upload it if it has been taken down? Thanks again!

I would say check the UTStarcom website of Verizon website. They should have a copy of the latest official ROM

badwolf, you should not need to do any reg edits for 1.6 to work. Just install it and pair your headset. You will need to go into the VC settings and make sure "Announce incoming calls" is checked. If you want it to read your messages to you, uncheck "High priority messages" in the messaging options of VC. To get it to announce the caller through the headset, install IDTransfer.

It hasn't been talked about because it has been working for a couple weeks. There is an app called: Internet Sharing that enables it now. It works.

Not necessarily. As far as I know, BT PAN is still not working.

Mr Happy, I posted some more reg entries here and in the BT PAN thread. Unfortunately, I cannot test my self, but I am trying to find any entries that might help.
