Ha, I always forget that setting up an EAS account automatically turns DirectPush on.

So let say if I want to install Wisbar Advance as an OEM package, and I do have the .cab file, how do I extract all the content in there? Because the contents in the .cab file are not .dll or .exe they are bunch of encoded cab instructions with a .xml file. But from what I read, the OEM packages have .dll and .exe etc.

Thanks.

You would do one of two things - either use a tool (google cab extract, there are lots of em, the xda folks seem to like http://www.freewareppc.com/utilities/msceinf.shtml ) to extract the files from the cab, then use those files to make your OEM package, or install it, and then try and figure out what was put in the registry and into your 6700. That's tedious.

I use WinCE CAB Manager. It makes working with cab files extremely easy.

It worked right out of the box! Start the application (have to run it twice. I can live with that.) Click connect, plug in your usb cable. Bring up a command prompt on the laptop and do ipconfig/al until the adapter and IP address show up. Total time less than 1 minute.

I just flashed my second build. I added WisBar Lite and Soti's Pocket Controller client. So far, so good!

Does CreateOS.exe run on Vista?

I tried to mess around and downloaded the Helmi_Apache_AKU3.3 kitchen today and ran the CreateOS.exe and click Start button, it gave me the error "LOC\packages.sof is corrupted"

What in the world is that message?
