Unit disconnecting during Sync cant upload

I set it all up and selected what I thought was correct. After putting device into boot ie record, power & soft reset then the sync stopped and refused to upload.

So I did follow instructions, removed device and put into boot mode, record, power and soft reset. Said Serial but when I hooked up said USB.

Computer found but could not burn the firmware?

Any thoughts?
