Update bit by bit - can we?

OK - so there is a topic on how to update the extended rom
There are two choices for the OS (2.2 or 3.3) rom
And, there is the prl/pri updater method via PPST

The only other firmware that can be updated appears to be "Radio" - and since I've been doing my updates piecemeal, I am stuck with what appears to be an "old" radio firmware version 1.12.0

Here's where I am after AKU3,3 + the PPST 20225 mojo:

ROM: 2.11.20 wwe
radio: 1.12.00
PRL: 20225
PRI: 1.19_003

So, question is, can I update Radio somehow without having to hard reset/install the OS/Extended etc....

Okay, this should work to update your radio with out haveing to redo everything. Take the AKU 3.3 update utility and put it in its own folder. Then right click on it (you need to have Winrar installed) and go down to Winrar. When the secondary menu opens, select extract here. This will extract the upgrade utility. Take the nk.nbf (The Rom) file and move it to another folder. Then place the attached file in the folder where everything was extracted. Now double click on the MaUpdateUt_noID.exe. This will run the upgrade utility. Watch the screen when it reads your device to make sure it is only upgrading the Radio.

Edit: Looks like I will have to RapidShare it if I can't find it here. Or, just download the official sprint upgrade, extract it, and move the radio.nbf to the ectracted AKU 3.3 folder. You still need to remove the nk.nbf.

Here is the rapid share link for the 1.27.00 radio.

http://rapidshare.com/files/12730069/radio_.zip.html

I do not think it needs to be in bootloader mode, but I may be mistaken. I will test in a bit.

Just curious about something.

I am wanting to upgrade my Radio and PRI. Unless there is a way of doing this WITHOUT flashing the Ext. Rom then here are my questions...

1. If I update the Ext. Rom to upgrade my Radio and PRI can I do it with the AKU3.3 installed(because I have it) or do I need to first reflash to a lesser AKU and then upgrade the Ext. Rom?

2. Then once I do finally upgrade my Ext. Rom can I then remove the junkware, flash for the AKU3.3 once again AND then run an SPB backup file(of my phone now with the AKU3.3 & old Ext. Rom) to get all my data back or would the fact that my Ext. Rom being an older version matter at all?

Thanx for all the help.

How do I update my PRI from 1.18_003 to whatever the newest is?

Thanx for all the assistance thus far.

Ok Sweet I got it!!!

I just unpacked the 3.3 rom and took out the nk.nbf file and tossed in the radio file. I put the phone in bootloader and then hit the MaUpdateUt_noID.exe. Presto! Updated Radio.

Now I just need to know how to update my PRI from 1.18_003 by itself. Anyone know how to do that?
