whats up with magicbuttin?

What has happened with magicbuttin is, when I press close all. It starts closing things but when it gets to the phone function it can't close that and starts jumping back and froth between the today screen and the phone missed call screen. Dose this several times, then changes the color on my today background. All still works fine but all the colors look monochrome or something. This is consistent in my PPC happens every time. I have to soft reset to get things back to normal.

I have had the monochrome color problem, when using my camera. And as u stated a soft reset solves it. But magic button can't close the phone icon. It remains active all the time. To solve this problem. tap and hold the phone icon and select don't show when inactive. This should take care of ur problem. Note u have to do this for activsync icon as well, because it remains active also. Hope this helps.

A problem I have had with magic button and the phone remaining active is that if you make the phone "don't show when inactive" you lose the phone icon. So anytime it shoulld show the icon will will show the default ms icon. Just a cosmetic issue tho'. Have you tried pressing the home icon when this is happening? Mine used ti do this as well, but I figured a way around it with "don't show when inactive." Now it rarely does the phone won't go away thing. I will let you know next time it happens how I got around it with out a soft reset.

I haven't had any issue with magic button itself, and when I use the don't show phone when inactive. I have no problem with icon. it doesn't pop up till I go to phone or hit the send button. and its the correct icon. I've voiced this opinion before and will again. I love magic button, and its the first thing I install. I have tried others, not the one malatesta suggested though, and find this the best because of the battery meter and it takes up no today screen space. I like my today screen clean as can be.

OK I re-installed, and I have set the don't show feature. I really like magicbuttin so if this works it is the best choice and it will be the first thing I install as well. Thanks for the help.

Dood, were not bashing the button haha

Thanks for the tip on the hiding when inactive. It also drove me nuts seeing the phone icon on the top of my screen

OK I checked it. If you do not have the "don't show when inactive" selected, and you get stuck in the phone app, hitting the home button will minimize the phone and bring you to your Toaday screen. At least for me it does.

Magic Button is frickin' sweet, I just wish I could get that icon back. I have tried resets, re-installs, everything I can think of. I have the issue posted on Magic Button's website, but have not heard back from them. There are many people on their site complaining about this issue.

Wideawake,. you seem to be in the know about all kinds of fixes and hacks and what-have-you's... Any ideas? I prefer my today as clean as possibly also. Do you have a screen shot? What else do you have installed? I know you have mentions things in other posts, just curious tho'.

I noticed magic button keeps turning itself off. If the phone goes into a self-standby for awhile, when I start using my phone I noticed that magic button is off. I have to restart it to get it to do what it is supposed to do. Any suggestions?
