Disabling the side scroll button

Is there a way to disable the side scroll button? Every time I put my phone in my pocket it changes my ring from vibrate to no sound.

thanks

Re: Disabling the side scroll button

I dont know if you really want to disable the side scroll button, if you lock the phone before placing it in to the pocket that would stop.

example: "Device Lock or s2u2"

Re: Disabling the side scroll button

Why not having the options set to lock all buttons except Power button?

You might want to recheck:

Settings/Buttons/Lock and see that "Lock all buttons except Power button" is checked.

That is what I have and the "side scroll" will not work when locked.

I had thought that the slide switch is immune to the native device-lock and its variants under Helmi's WM6 - kind of a known bug. The absolute workaround for me was installing S2U2. I heartily recommend it.

And to answer the poster who asked why not just the button-lock feature -- everyone who ever relied on that feature alone sooner or later had a pocket-calling problem. The screen and all the buttons are operable when the phone occasionally wakes up for notifications, alarms, or syncs.

Re: Disabling the side scroll button

TMB is correct if you really want the best button lock software.....I also recommend s2u2, It has nice features..etc..many members like TMB and myself run s2u2.

Re: Disabling the side scroll button

This is interesting because I don't have the side switch problem that is describe when the device is powered off.

I personally don't like S2U2. I just use the "Device Lock" button on my today screen. I just tap that and it locks the screen and buttons.
