So far the reg entry has cut down on the BT drops considerably. t will still drop now and again for no appearant reason (not in a call though).

I am getting ready to upgrade to 3.3 as soon as I have a few hours free (not likely )

I wonder if the BT stack is better in 3.3?

Jady,

I'm on 3.3 presently and I can safely say it is much better. With the two registry edits (the sd and the bt power saves) it responds much faster when you power-on. I have a feeling that the extra few seconds was related to the SD suspend vs now being in power save mode. Power save mode I've noticed does cut the batt some but it's a very slight change just.

EDIT: Jady, also if you change up to aku3.3 be sure and read the two related major threads here.

There is an issue with pictures and videos which is easily fixed by just overwriting two dll's. Also in case you don't have the two needed I did include them in that thread as well (for easy finding too of course).

Overall though I would definitely say that aku3.3 is a worthwhile upgrade. It runs much snappier and fixed alot of minor bugs 2.2 has/had.

Would you be able to help me with this? I read about some of the problems if I do this wrong, and am a bit paranoid.

In Resco, when I create new, I get the option of Key, String Value, Multi Line String Value, Binary Value, and DWORD value. I thought I was supposed to use DWORD value, but now I am suspecting I don't? Would you be able to help me pick the right one? And if it is DWORD, do I enter a value of 00000002, set to decimal, or hex?

Sorry to ask for so much, I just want to do this right.

Thanks. If I was thinking, I would have realized that 2 is 2, regardless of whether it is decimal or hexadecimal. I updated my registry and nothing exploded, so I think it is working.

Thanks again.

No problem sir, glad I could be of assistance. It happens to the best of us. The simple things are but so hard to think about.

None of those entries posted here work for my apache. What does work is the following, however you get about 6hrs of phone time.

The does work and the bluetooth never cuts out or disconnects.

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Power\State\Suspend]
Change "Flags"=dword:00000003
to
"Flags"=dword:00100000

Perform a soft reset with psShutxp and its done.

Now only to work on the battery drain issue. One step foward. This one was killing me.

I am having the same issue with this. I never had the problem with my old 6700... but the warranty replacment I recieved Jan 01 has had issues. I am using a jabbone BT Headset and it will just drop connection at any given time.. I am sure there is a reason for this.

I have done all the registry hacks minus the

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Power\State\Suspend]
Change "Flags"=dword:00000003
to
"Flags"=dword:00100000

and it is still acting up. Usually this happens on longer duration calls or if i ignore the phone for a while.

I am testing putting blt1 with a value of 2 in all the suspend, useridle, unattended, resuming states.

Might work... is there any reason not to do this? if so then I will have to go to the above listed hack! dont really want to cause I tear through the battery as it is.

Drew

I have now tried this for few days now.. it has made a substantial change in my bluetooth usage. I have an extended battery and I am still making it through the day..

Any updates on this? I'm having my bluetooth disconnect mid-call on aku3.5 (Saridnours's flavor..)

Makes it practically unusable for the bluetooth..

Colonol's 3.3 aku worked fine w/ bluetooth...
