What do you mean "burn the ROM"? Are you trying to create your own?

Re: Three questions by a starter
1) Are you doing a data connection through your carrier?
Yes I am looking to do a data connection through my carrier. Basically lets say I am out in a park, I can connect my laptop to my cell phone and be online. 2) Vista is known for its issues with WDMC and especially trying to upgrade ROMs, safest more stress-less way is to use XP Okay im giving up on vista for now. 3) What do you mean "burn the ROM"? Are you trying to create your own? Well it is when I select all the applications to be installed on my cell phone and then tell it to create a ROM, it takes a long time to create a rom. |

Thats what many of us did when it came to upgrading anything on the phone as for ROMs or Radio updates/flashes So are you using a "kitchen"? If so, which one? What are you tring to add to the ROM? I personally do not use the kitchens (although I think they are great) so I cannot help you on that one but there a lot of people here that do so I am sure you will get an answer. |

Re: Three questions by a starter
I started using Kirvins C&S 3.5 1.02 and then did all the reg edits that you see in my sig and then installed all the apps that you see in my sig and then used SPB Clone to create an exact backup of my device. I used that ROM (I tried others) and liked its stabilty and what little it came with. That gave me a foundation to build my phone on to what it is today. If I have to hard reset, I simply do so and then run the "autorun.exe" on my card and in about 10mins I have a fresh phone with everything as it was. Although I have another phone that I use for testing apps and so forth, if something were to go wrong with my phone I could easily restore it to how I have customized it.
