All you need to do for that is find the list of cabs that are necessary for the Verizon ExtROM. I will look later when I have a chance if you cannot find it. Once you have the list, you can create your own ExtROM. The only difference between Sprint, Verizon, or any other carrier is the cabs that are required in the ExtROM

try posting or copy of your config.txt file and maybe uploading your extended rom. That way someone can take a look at it and see if they can work on it. I dont have a xv6700 or know anyone willing to let me play with their $600 phone. That is the main problem I can see in regards to you getting more help.
www.sendspace.com is a good site for uploading files, fast and free.

I know that these are required:

VZWProvision_Signed.sa.CAB
Signed_MMS3.0.6.22_Apache_VZW_26Sep06.CAB
Customize_105201.sa.CAB
Enable_RingTone.sa.CAB
Region.sa.CAB
VZWProvision.PPC400_2577MTM.CAB
Remove.sa.CAB
Link.sa.CAB

I will post a copy of my config.txt in a short while. Thanks

Here are two references that should get you started at least. Sorry that they are on a different site, but I couldn't find anything here.

Hey Taurus, in regards to finding Verizon specific 6700 stuff, there are a couple of reasons:
1. # of PPC6700 owners (Sprint, Alltel, etc..) is much greater than vx6700 owners (Verizon).
2. Almost any hack you can do to a PPC6700 you can do to the vx6700. Same phone, same OS, just different carriers. So maybe PCS vision and some SMS stuff may not work, but most others should.
3. Verizon didn't load a ton of crap onto their phones (at least not as much as Sprint did). So it's not that intrusive on the memory as with the Sprint version.
4. Verizon came out with AKU 2.2 around the end of June 2006. Sprint uses have gone without that update for almost 5 months before something got released, which is quite an incentive for PPC6700 owners to work on these custom roms.

To possibly get fustrated at the "PCS community" for not answering your questions or supporting your device isn't justified. Frankly, I was very surprised that WideAwake posted all the different carrier-specific roms as he did considering he is a Sprint user (I believe).

BTW, I am a Verizon customer and haven't really had any problems finding the answers I'm looking for in regards to my phone. If you had a question and it didn't get answered then maybe post it in the other forums (like listed earlier and howardforums.com). With so many messages, it just might take a while for the right person to read it in the right forum.

Sorry but I am no in any way upset or frustraded with this fourm the PCS community or Wideawake's work, I am get frustrated with "Use the search button, or google and you will find" answers.

I believe that if you don't have an answer or think someone is being lazy all you have to do is ignore the poster and not sne dhim where's been for around 38 years now.

Actually I think Wideawake is doing a superb job for the community as a whole, i mean i am already using the 2.2 beta and it is great. I just wanted to be able to remove some unwanted apps. but it's all good i am making progress.

Thanks everyone.
