try this, take the battery out, and charge just the battery on the cradle overnight. then pop it into your phone and try again. this worked for me after i got the red light o death.

UPDATE
Went to Sprint yesterday just to see what could be done.  It was a snow day in Fort Worth yesterday, when we get just a little ice it's best not to go out someone will run in to you, these Texans don't know how to drive in that stuff. Any ways I had to leave my 6700 over night because, when I got to the local Sprint store the phone tech was out do to the ice.  I went in today around 12 o'clock as instructed, the CS rep went to the back and came back with my old 6700, handed it to me than said I would have to wait till thursday to get a referb for $55. than after staring at his computer for a few seconds  walked off and came back with a BRAND NEW still in the box 6700.  Thats right kiddies I got a brand new 6700 for $55+tax Hooray, Sprint is the best. Now to get started with the upgrades.

I have to say congrats man, and im actully in awe that sprint came thru like that for you, I wish they were like that here
 but sadly Sprint is the best buy of the cellular world here. anyways congrats!p.s still waiting for my first 6700 to come in from ebay so i can get rid of this sammy a900
