6700 as a modem... for your Mac?

Allo all,

I've gone through the N00b guide. I'm a 6700 user who wants to use it with my Mac for networking on the go.

Any suggestions are welcome.

P.S. Any OS war posts will be ignored and /dev/nulled

Thanks!

Get http://www.mobile-stream.com/usbmodem_wm.html for $20

Or if your Mac has BT you can pair it, and setup a new connection (free).

Pairing to a Mac

The Mac has Bluetooth, But I'm completely unsure of the settings for the Mac or the state the 6700 should be in.

So far all attempts have not worked.

On your 6700, click start\programs\wireless modem. in connection type select bluetooth and click start. I am not too sure what needs to be done on the Mac, but i will try pairing the phn first thru bluetooth and then creating a Dial Up Network. Hope this helps.

-pair mac & 6700 (initiate pairing from the Mac--check the box for use phone's Internet connection)

-In Internet Connect, telephone number is #777. Leave account name & password blank.

-In System Preferences>Network, Bluetooth>Bluetooth modem shoudl be set to Sprint PCS Vision.

Initiate the call through Internet Connect. (I don't need to do anything special on the 6700.)

I can't get my mac to recognize my 6700 as a phone. So they won't pair. Any ideas
