6700 as a modem... for your Mac?
Allo all,
I've gone through the N00b guide. I'm a 6700 user who wants to use it with my Mac for networking on the go. Any suggestions are welcome. P.S. Any OS war posts will be ignored and /dev/nulled "Can't we all just get along ;)" Thanks! -A |
Get http://www.mobile-stream.com/usbmodem_wm.html for $20
Or if your Mac has BT you can pair it, and setup a new connection (free). |
Pairing to a Mac
The Mac has Bluetooth, But I'm completely unsure of the settings for the Mac or the state the 6700 should be in.
So far all attempts have not worked. |
On your 6700, click start\programs\wireless modem. in connection type select bluetooth and click start. I am not too sure what needs to be done on the Mac, but i will try pairing the phn first thru bluetooth and then creating a Dial Up Network. Hope this helps.

-pair mac & 6700 (initiate pairing from the Mac--check the box for use phone's Internet connection)
-In Internet Connect, telephone number is #777. Leave account name & password blank. -In System Preferences>Network, Bluetooth>Bluetooth modem shoudl be set to Sprint PCS Vision. Initiate the call through Internet Connect. (I don't need to do anything special on the 6700.) |
