This worked great for me. No delay on SD card at all.

The only problem I am having is with my MP3 ringtones (100k in size). They are in main memory, but there is a 3-4 second delay before they begin to play. Didn't have this problem with the Sprint ROM. Anyone else seeing this?

Storage Card Issue as well.

Well was happy to see the v2 beta. I to had the storage card issue, very long lag time. I can tell you that I did the reghack before for the memory card access and that caused the system to act this way. I have not looked yet but that may be the issue. I don't know why that would be the case but, had it happen to me.

Also love the nice and clean version. Will be nice to see if we can get the AKU3.5 on this device as well. BTW I have two working units here so always willing to lend a hand

Keep up the great work, Remember my offer is still there for space for download.

Nevermind - Found my problem.

I was set to "Vibrate then ring", not "Vibrate and ring"

It was a case of the middle of the night stupids :P

Request for a custom rom:

No voice control what so ever (not ms's voice tag system, or cyberon)

Remove all any files related to msn messenger (or at least the main program)

Remove the help files

I think this would go a long way towards slimming down the rom as well as allow people to install the voice stuff that they want (in my case, MSVC only)

Just an idea, keep up the great work!

Using custom Ext ROM for Sprint, 2GB SD card (SanDisk Ultra II), everything great! Thanks Wideawake!

BTW, the version of Resco File Explorer is old: 5.41 was replaced with 5.42 on 10/4/2006, according to Resco Updater.

P.S. too bad about VaTech beating UNC today

I have had no issues (that weren't user generated) with the aku 2.2 rom, but have stuck to the stock (personally modified extrom) as I didn't see a huge advantage with yours. But I would like to see the even slimmer version listed above.

Hold down both soft keys and use ur stylus to push the reset key. If done right another screen will come up asking you to clear storage. press y for yes and then press space bar to reset. It should the reboot.

removal of unneeded t9 lanq dll's

This won't be a huge savings on space, but the more free the better... The non-english t9 lanq files (.dll's) in the win directory can be removed to save 813kb. (T9"lang".dll)

Hmm, i've run the about 3 custom roms now, and appreciate your efforts on behalf of the beta2 release. It's looking good. I'll probably go abo altering e EXTrom again and compiling an executable, but then my laziness will probably prevent me from compiling a binary installer and just sticking with your no junkware rom and then modifying from there. But Wide, thanks again.. 2.2beta2 is looking good so far
