Nice find kdoug. I don't know a workaround. I don't use either of those programs.

On my second phone this problem persists, I just soft rest to clear it every time it happens. It does not happen right off the bat and doesn't happen consistantly. It's after use and loading of different programs it will occasionally just flash "contacts" up top but not show them. Doesn't happen on one phone, I may have to reflash it..

Reflash without those options and you should be good. The Duo touch tries to assign itself to the right soft button which by default is the contacts button. I dont know why that would cause all other shortcuts not to work. Im sure someone more adept than me will come and tell us either a workaround, a registry modification or a reason why it doesnt work.
Not sure if this is a known issue, didn't seem to find an answer when I did a search on it last week... but it's definitely something to do with HTC Random Access and Duo Touch Action Screen. When I cooked a new ROM without these items, my contacts magically came back. I'm not sure what Random Access is in the Kitchen. Has anyone gotten it to work properly on the 6700?

I knew my contacts were still there (somewhere in my phone) because when my phone rang, it showed the correct caller ID and I could access the info via the phone. BUt other than that, I could not bring up the contacts even going to the contacts.ink method

Try removing 7b9a7d9f-26b4-4239-93be-c259b79151b7, True, HTC ActionScreen and see if it solves your problem. Just uncheck Duo touch Action Screen in the kitchen and keep all your other selections the same. Let us know if this is a solution for you.

I'm sorry for such a long time to get back. I did remove the action screen but still no change. I've read here and elsewhere that it could be an issue with the dialer that is used. I'll try a different dialer and report back if that helps/resolves the issue.

Changing the dialer didn't work either. I've hard reset after each flash, still having the same error.

k, check these three registry entries and tell me what is there.

Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:MSCONTACTS]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\112]

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Today\Keys\113]

There is no folder for 113

I've also attached my latest selections as they have changed since my last posting. Still odd however, that this only occurs maybe half of the time. The other half it will open my contact list perfectly fine. Usually it will freeze after it has been opened and then closed (not minimized) at least once since the prior soft reset. I have tried both hard resetting immediatlely after the flash is complete (while still in the bootloader) as well as after it has loaded once. The issue still remains sparatically. I appreciate all of your help. Thank you.
