try this
If you save the names under company you will be able to save the hole name without the nams swap. You can also sort by company and you will get a shorter list.

another option...
I find the "comma after full name" version the best and easiest way to sort FIRST, LAST...
but someone over at XDA forumn posted some .cab files that "...give you an option in the pop-up menu when you tap and hold a contact on how to show the contacts. " You can get the files HERE, 3rd post down. There's 4 different ones. *Note, you have to register first at XDA forums before you can see the .cabs to download. |

I believe in Outlook it's just a drop-down menu that reads something like "display as"...
Attached is another neat program called ContactChanger. It basically allows you to change all your contacts in one-fell swoop right on your PPC. You can first/last, last/first, etc. |

You just enter your contact list, double-click a name and there is a drop-down+entry field that asks you how you want it displayed.
edit: Sorry Malatesta, I was playing games and taking an hour to write my post. Didn't see yours.... |

I tried the Outlook way, and you have to do it one name at a time. There is an option ( under tools: options: preferences: contact options )to default NEW contacts to display as First Last, but if you add the contact in the xv, it defaults to Last, First.
I think I will try contactchanger and see how it works, sucks you gotta add a program just for this... Thanks for all the info. This site is great! Thrilsekr |
