The Headset profile will only give you crappy mono "phone quality" sound, so if your headset doesn't support the A2DP "wireless stereo" profile then don't even bother because it will not be worth your time.

That said, I had to install the hacked Tornado BT files to even get wireless stereo to work with my XV6700 and HT820 headphones. I haven't installed the new AKU3.3 or any kitchens yet.
