I've played around with it, but the phone doesn't work, and the wifi is flaky - I had to download and install a driver. I don't think I was using the latest version of the image.

The linux driver for the wifi card (AFAIK) can't do WPA, though wpa_supplicant is part of the image package. Theoretically, ndiswrapper could be used to get it working, but I think you would have to produce a .inf file for the driver .dll file.

I haven't tried it with WEP yet since my home network uses WPA.

I had to manually modprobe for the wifi card, but I haven't taken the time to learn the debian startup procedure as I'm more familiar with slackware. I suppose I could try to make a slackware based image, but

My network engineer has used linux with his ipaqs for years. I will ask him about this later in the week when i see him.

As long as there is a kernal of memory you can do it!
