Download both the files linked to in the kitchen thread, run the Build OS install, and put the PPCGeeks_OEM.rar in the C:\Buildos folder. Double click on PPC-BuildOs Icon, pick your OEMs and click the play button."
Heres what i thought I was supposed to do.
"I run windows vista and i have a sprint ppc 6700, and so i downloaded the sprint rom v1.3h. I have winRAR and extracted the "download" we'll say to another folder. It is here where i get confused on what to do. There are about 10 things that i can click on but the only one i can seem to get to open with anything installed on my comp. is the ApacheUpgradeUt_noID and then i plug my phone in and put in bootloader mode and it goes on to say that my phone is not meant for this upgrade, or something along the lines of this.
can you find where i am going wrong here? "
That was what i have been trying and i get that message everytime, my current rom freezes quite a bit, or takes a while to load so i think i want to upgrade to something a little bit bettter.
Would be much appreciated, thanks

Gopher,
Undo whatever you did. You were provided instructions for working with the WM6 kitchen in the Apache/upgrade subfolder, but you downloaded and attempted to install a pre-cooked rom ("v1.3h", which sounds to me like one of BigJ's last WM5 efforts.) (Sounds like you followed the directions correctly to download and flash that rom, but don't know why it didn't take. Maybe you could check in the proper support thread.)
Whatever you do, you need to read a bit more before acting - you gotta know what you're doing, and no one else can do it for you. Then once you choose an upgrade to go with, please post in the thread that supports that rom or kitchen. All that aside, there are very good reasons people are talking about the kitchen - it's a beautiful piece of work.
