Which WM6 ROM did you use, or is it custom from the kitchen? It could be that the ## codes aren't functional on whichever ROM you used. It depends on the dialer and which codes were actually included. ## codes are touchy.
If you want to try getting the ## code working, make a shortcut to "\Windows\EPST.exe ##544088#" and click it. That will try sending the code to epst directly. If you want to revert.. Take the installers apart. They are self extracting archives so you should be able to rename it to zip or open it in WinRAR. Take the nk.nbf file from the sprint installer and replace the one in the custom installer with it. You can then run the flash utility in the same folder. If you used the kitchen, it's pretty much the same process. Take the nk.nbf file from the stock sprint installer and place it in the yourkitchen\Upgrade\RUU folder and run the flash utility manually. RUU being whichever of the 3 folders works for you. You may get errors so try all 3.

To be honest, I'm totally new to flashing phones so I'm using the pre-built roms.
I like option one but, how does one create a shortcut and mod it's properties to include the ### code? Thanks for the help so far. P.S. I think I may have broken something...I was trying to do a ROM update and the installer pretty much hung on the radio update part of the flash...sat there for like 30 minutes (most of the rom updates were taking < 10 minutes total). I killed the update process. The phone still seems to be working but I'm afraid I might have just lost some sort of functionality. Should I be worried? P.S.S. Ok..I'm boned (I think). When I run the updater, I'm getting back a screen with the title: "Device Software Update Utility - R:31700 D:22060 U:31500 p:658065 EC:256 CB: " and the msg "Error 201: Get Device Data Error, Can not get device data..." and all I can do is exit. Is there something I'm (hopefully) doing wrong? I just noticed that my phone now is seen by my system but then almost immediately disconnects when I attach the USB cable to it...does this have something to do with this? Try putting the phone in bootloader mode first (hold down power + notes (top left button) while simultaneously putting the stylus in the reset port at the bottom. You'll know you did it correctly when the screen goes dark and stays that way. If you look in a strong light you should see the word Serial on the screen and a version number at the bottom--what is that number?
Anyway, once it's in bootloader mode plug it back into the PC and try to flash the carrier ROM again. Make sure you're cabled directly to a USB port with no USB hubs in between. |

v2.02
When I tried to flash the phone, the Sprint supplied ROM was freezing on Stage 1: updating radio. Granted this time when I pulled the phone connection, some time later I got a Recovery mode screen on the PC. Not sure what it did but it indicated that the phone was now ready to be flashed...that seemed to work as the Sprint supplied firmware seemed to take afterwards. Thanks for the help guys. As soon as I activate the phone, I'm going right back to WM6 (maybe I'll even start playing around in the kitchens) |

uninstall any dialer. I had this problem back in the day. The stock dialer will not be a problem. Just cook a new rom without changeing the dialer and you should be fine.
