Broken internet sharing with original wm6 release

Hi all, I'm running the original helmi wm6 release on my xv6700, and now on several occasions the internet sharing for USB has simply died on the phone. Among other major issues such as email flat out being broken, this is a major issue, but yet I've seen no one else make mention of the same issue. Essentially my problem is this - using a linux rndis driver, I've been connecting it up to my laptop for internet on the road via this since aku3.5 and never had an issue. Now with wm6, I've determined various software installs will cripple the rndis internet sharing somehow, and now it has just simply broken out of nowhere. Each time it has broken, I have hard reset the phone, and it works again - for a while until something else breaks it. Phone Suite and Stowaway bluetooth drivers both will break the sharing feature after install, both seem to add devices to the system, but are designed for wm5. They work just fine, but ancillary damage to the phone os sucks. I've made absolutely no changes to the phone this time, it just simply stopped working. When it stops working, what occurs is once internet sharing via usb is enabled on the phone, it will connect, build the rndis0 interface, and attempt to grab dhcp address. When it works, it will get on the second attempt a 192.168.0.2 address I think, and set .1 to be the router and dns. When it is broken, it will just never get an address from the phone. Whether this works or not, I can disable internet sharing, and the rndis driver will reactivate, and dhcp an address of 169.254.2.2 for the activesync aspect of the connection, as is normal. There is something causing a disconnect between the dhcp/nat function in the phone and the system it seems, but I've simply no idea where to begin debugging something like this on microsoft's godawful wm platform. All I know is I travel a lot on my job and I need this to work reliably. Such is the pleasure of owning genuine windoze, however. Anyone experience the same? Now that bluetooth DUN doesn't work, pan simply fails to work for me under wm6 with a linux client too, email never works reliably, and now usb internet randomly breaks, my phone is proving itself worthless for about the last goddamn time. I'm ready to go back to a dumb flip phone and get an aircard for my laptop. ugh.
