New Official VZW XV6700 Update Coming Soon!
There is a new official update coming for VZW XV6700! The approval date was 10/11/2007. Should be only a week or two. Now i know that with everything going on here that this is not too big of news. But it does include a new radio rom version(1.43). This also seems that it may be a bit updated from the newest Official Bell Mobility ROM. Unfortunately this does not seem to be an update to WM6 but possibly an official update to WM5 AKU 3.3 or even 3.5? As soon as i can get ahold of it i will post a link here for those interested!

I find it strange that Sprint and Verizon are both upgraded these phones since they are getting replaced.
That's cool though. I still know people running Verizon's rom because they are "satisfied" with it's performance. I see by your location we're neighbors. I work in Redlands, live in Fontana, but I lived in Riverside 15 years. Since you work for Verizon, maybe you can enlighten me. My wifes 6700 took a dump this weekend. The radio is not working. In fact, after a reset, the radio info is blank. I've flashed the latest Verizon rom, and the radio shows up at first boot, but shortly after it's gone, and the phone doesn't work. (see attached pics) Are there any stores in the area that still carry the 6700? I'm hoping to get it replaced today. My contract is up in January, and I'm hoping for the HTC Vogue to show up sometime in the near future. Also, is the insurance the only route for replacing it? Any advice from an insider would be much appreciated.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I am VERY interested in this.
The WM6 work is very impressive and quite amazing, and so was the AKU 3.3 & 3.5 work before it. But there have been bugs and issues with all of them - and the WM6 is just getting past the Beta stage. Unfortunately, In my job I rely so heavily on my phone that I just can't afoard to risk doing anything that might leave me without service. An updated official ROM is just what I've been waiting for - ever since I heard that one was coming (eventually) back in April or so... Hopefully it will be worth the wait. Might want to wait on a bootloader check - Could this do the same thing that the Bell Mobility Bootloader did? i.e. screw up your ability to flash other roms.....
I don't have the capability, but I'm sure others here will be checking.

yeah, im pretty sure its the new bootloader. but you can flash other roms, you just have to use the new bootloader ruu folder in the 3.5 kitchen. i didnt even think about that until i had already started flashing. we shall see though.
