i had the same thought when i heard that people were having issues with scary bears....i am sure that is what caused this...me deleting something....what can i do.....i have hard reset and i know it didnt help.....could have been bc of the spb backup. how can i get them back ? i have memmaid and rarely mess with this seciton but when i did i think is when i seem to have had AS stop working so this has to be it.
EDIT : went and checked and i have two instances of replog.exe and three calnot.exe, one all in caps. how many should i have ? |

It appears i have it working. I will check back and let people know....looks like sktools worked when nothing else did. The real trick will be to get this internet working without having to refurb my phone. i have tried everything i know. i must be missing something....

Long post, scroll down for short version =)
[rant] Well i was having the ActiveSync issue so i found this thread, installed the CAB and ran the switcher to make it USB mode. Then after the soft reset it still wasn't connecting to the PC. I decided to try the SKtools option and look at the notification queue. I didn't see the entry i needed so i manually added it. Still nothing. I tried the EXE file listed. Still nothing. I decided to leave it plugged in while in hibernate mode and see if it would wake up (at least this way the orange light was on - 40% batt before) Nothing. In between all of these steps i tried soft resets and it didn't do anything. Finally i decided to reboot the PC and the phone....Success!!! The Usb switch was on so it registered itself as new again, but it knew that it was my device and synced right up. This is the second time i've had active sync issues and it has only been solved by a simultaneous soft boot of the phone and reboot of the PC. The first time i had the issue it took three reboot/soft reset for it to work. I think the kicker that time was the third reboot i did while i was on hold for tech support and the person just picked up as it was finishing =) [/rant] Moral of the story is the listed things may or may not have helped, but my activesync issue was fixed after a PC reboot and soft reset combo. |
