ActiveSync CAB to fix syncing issues!
2 Attachment(s)
This software makes some features available and corrects some issues with ActiveSync for the PPC6700. I installed this on to my 6700 last month and I haven't had a problem connecting to my PC since. This is from the UTStarcom site. Good luck!

What's the source of that cab? How does it differ from the one that lets you switch to USB/Serial mode?

Active Sync Mode is software that manipulates hardware and software from
restricting the 6700 as a network component. Installing the software in the device and switching the option of RNDIS (Remote Network Driver Interface Specification) to USB (Universal Serial Bus), will allow an authorized connection of new hardware being installed on a computer instead of a new network detection disengaging the 6700 as being recognizable to Active Sync. |
i edited my zip file. i put the wrong word document into the zip file...sorry about that :( it's fixed now though :D

Yes, it fixes the active sync issues. Don't forget to actually *run* the new app after you install the cab, and select the USB Serial mode :D |

Bummer. I decided to cheap it out for my home Pc and use the free McAfee anti-virus that comes with my Comcast cable service but it's the only one that doesn't work with this fix.
