done it/it didn't
Tried that about 10 different times and ways. I'm thinking I messed up something in the extrom or registry that ain't allowing it to install. I've also noticed that most (actually all) proggies that I tried to "uninstall" don't uninstall at all when using the system add/remove. This issue might be related.

note that the programs cannot be running when u try to uninstall or it will give u the unable to fully unistall message. ;)

I was extremely carefull on that point for the last 10 tries. First few, I didn't even think about it. Some basic info; ROM ver: 2.06.00 WWE, ExtROM 2.06.303 WWE, PRL 20224, PRI 1.10_003. Dunno if there's any clues there but it doesn't hurt to know what it is. I had similar issues with ExtROM when trying to get rid of junkware like some of the cabs from the ExtROM would not install as instructs in another post described.

Your PRI is out of date and should be 1.19_0003 which should have been updated when u done the upgrade to the newest rom, or after any hard resets. This is a very odd issue.....hmmm. :?

I doubled checked and that's what it says. I guess one thing leads to another. Performance-wise, it's running better than ever. Is there a way to update the PRI by itself?

you can find the ring through fix thread and download just the ppst file and run it which will update ur pri ;)

I'll give it a whirl and let you know. Thanks.

I decided to dump the free McAfee that Comcast provides as it is a resource hog and I think it was messing up some other programs. I wen twith NOD32. So now I will give this a try as ActiveSync works for me only about 80% of the time. It's hard to believe Microsoft just can't get it right. I mean how complicated can it be?

I've tried everything I can think of and still it just won't install. Here goes the hard reset. Thanks for trying Mike.
