How take apart your PPC6700

This is courtesy of PDAHome.

I had to replace my screen when I it and a door connected to each other as a result of it's user and a bottle of wine.

I flew blind.. but it seems someone else took screen shots when they replaced their screen.

Hope this helps.

Take it back apart and recheck to make sure all the cabling is plugged in securely. In reassembly you might have snagged a connector (probably the motherboard connector) or missed plugging something in.

It's probably the easiest part to change. Remove the battery, the 2 screws holding the cover over the camera, unscrew the single screw on the PCB. I would suggest changing both the camera and daughterboard since it could be either that went bad. The only hassle on reassembly is getting the focus lever in the channel on the cover lever, but other than that it's a ten minute job.
