It's probably the easiest part to change. Remove the battery, the 2 screws holding the cover over the camera, unscrew the single screw on the PCB. I would suggest changing both the camera and daughterboard since it could be either that went bad. The only hassle on reassembly is getting the focus lever in the channel on the cover lever, but other than that it's a ten minute job.
