Tried playing video on XV6700...sucked (sorry)

Well after trying to play a video (only 160mb) it played like crap for some reason....

I converted it to .mp4 and resized it to 320 x 240 and the video quality stayed about the same (i kept it pretty high as the size moved to 145mb)

I was wondering what do you guys do to make it play video's better?

I have always used the freeware program pocket Divx Encoder for all my pocket pc videos. It converted a 22 min episode from its original 175MBs to 48MB without lossing any real portable quality (it looks worse on the big screen of course but you won't really notice anything on the small screen). Also use TCPMP for all my media playing needs.

LULZ, n00bz. Use MeGUI for the encoder. Original episode quality with small file size (around 30mb). I wish I could give a tutorial but, im lazy.

Couple of quick questions:

1: How do overclock?
2: How do MPEG2?

How the hell do you do that? 18384kb buffer?

I mean I got it to work by converting and and not messing with the refresh rate but the file is a little big but the quality is stunning

This should be in the settins of the app if I am not mistaken. I used to use TCMP but I use Pocket Player now and it too works fine.

You can use something like Hack Master to overclock. I keep mine at 520 but have gone as high as 624 at lone times without issues.

As for the coversion for MPEG2, there are several apps out there that will convert but I have never found the need to convert or re-encode

When I use TCMP for MPEG2 it say it can't play it. I believe it's the codecs
