change activesync to not suck

I was wondering if there is a way to set activesync so that it doesn't delete contacts from my phone. one time I deleted the contacts frome my computer thinking that A.S would just say ok 230 contacts on the phone and 0 on the computer ill copy the 230 to the computer. nope deleted all my contacts. I enter numbers in my phone not in my computer. thanks in advance.

I think thats controlled by the actvsync program on ur ppc. open activsync go to the menu/options/settings and I think theres a option there. I personally only sync mine with an exchange server....
