Forced to use Helmi's wm6 kitchen, and choose newRUU program. Fixed. It's because i have verizon's new bootloader (v1.04). I've been using vista w/ mobile device center, without a problem, it updates the phone just fine (no need for xp)

Re: Error: 150 ROM Update utility...
What new RUU did you get? I've never had a problem upgrading anything, but the instant I backed up all my downloads for my phone onto external, I'm now getting the 150 error and have none of the RUU/MTTY/other stuff. Idon't want to download the same old one. Where did you get yours that worked? Just from the kitchen you used? I'm downloading all that I can find now for the new WM6 roms, try getting stuff from those.

Re: Error: 150 ROM Update utility...
When you load Verizon/Bell Mobility's latest stock ROM, it updates the bootloader to 1.04/2.04/2.05 (this is a BAD thing). The RUU for 1.04/2.04/2.05 is in the kitchen (and probably in the same ROM that jacked your bootloader to 1.04/2.04/2.05).

Re: Error: 150 ROM Update utility...
Same problem here.
Rom bootloader screen indicates v.1.04 Attempting upgrade: APAC_WM6_R0_Cricket.exe This is a verizon XV6700 phone with cricket. Rom bootloader screen indicates v.1.04 You say it's a bad thing but you dont explain why exactly? What to do? What's the fix etc. ? Point me to another download for the Verizon XV6700 that DOES WORK ? Can't seem to find these answers reading threads. Same short answers but no actual explanations or solutions given. Been combing threads for over 3 days now for a solution. You would think it's a simple affair to upgrade from WM 5 and there should be tons of files to d/l for this dinosour but nothing is clear, direct nor are there any straight answers to simple problems. I'm sure I am not alone here... Last edited by WM_Geek; 11-18-2009 at 02:02 AM. |
