Stuck at screen alignment screen

I have loaded WM6 and WM6.1, but cannot get past the screen alignment prompt on the intial set-up. Is there a way to bypass that step? Or cancel it in pregress? I am running a PPC6700 from Sprint.

Well, you can get past the align screen but I don't think the touchscreen will work well:

I'd cook a smaller ROM.

I had very same issue with getting stuck at alignment screen.
Turned out the touch screen was bad.
Replaced touch screen (digitizer and screen as one unit is much easier replacement than just the touch part) and fixed it.

Thanks for the posts guys, but after some serious digging around, I found a work around and have the phone working again. Now, if I could only get the contacts to save.....
