It is normal to hear static with any BT headset when the headset is not in the line of sight. If your body is between the headset and the PPC you will get static so keep the headset and the PPC on the same side of your body. I hope this helps

I've found the BT to be pretty good static-wise on the ppc. You sure the headset is fully charged before you started using it?

[quote="schettj"]I've found the BT to be pretty good static-wise on the ppc. You sure the headset is full yes it was. I paired it first. the only time I don't hear the popcorn noise is when I put the phone over my headset I don't hear nothing but in my pocket on the same side as the bluetooth I still hear it.

I've had different bluetooth with very little static. I could walk to the other side of my room and not hear static. I'm thinkin the older 6700's have problems everywhere

My bluetooth works great on my PPC. I have not had any issues with it. I use a Jabra bt500 and also a Plantronics Voyager 510. I switched to the Plantronics just because it was a lighter headset and didn't make my ear hurt.

Both of my 6700 had defective bluetooth units in them. I could never get A2DP to work, and the range & clarity were horrible. These bluetooth problems with the 6700 were happening from the get go. It is more "luck of the draw" then anything else with the BT on the 6700.
