I haven't looked at volume issues that. That will be on the list. I agree that speaker volume overall seems a bit quieter.

It shouldn't be a problem. The SHDC support is a software limitation and not a hardware limitation. It is on the listâ„¢

Fantastic work... I've been running devel2 since it came out. 3 simple things that I personally would love to see...

1. I use the MS VoiceCommand 1.6 (I have over 2000 contacts on my 6700 so VSD is a dog!) so have no need for the Voice Speed Dial program ....If I don't use it I know it's taking up space. Do other people agree that getting rid of Voice Speed Dial would be helpful in saving space. ....That way people can add it in if they need it...
I'm trying to leave the rom as organic as possible as what you would normally see in a stock htc release. I may eventually release one with cabs to customize such things, but no guarantees.

2. Is this the official WM6 sound theme ...I remember hearing a different sound theme (...for program selection taps there were different cool sounds, etc ...not the typewriter key tap sound we have now) on a different "quasi-version of WM5 that was emulating WM6 themes, etc.
This is Helmi's rom. I'm just fixing issues & polishing it Honestly I haven't looked into that yet. The asthetics will come later on. I'm working on functionality right now.

3. I like the VistaHide Battery Gage... I install it at every upgrade but it seems like it's small and simple enough that it could be included in dev3.
I'm not familiar with that. Is it a customized display for the battery meter or hiding the battery meter? I think I'd like to keep that as stock as possible in the base rom. Once things are polished a bit and functional, I'll have a 2nd rom with customizations. I'm trying to keep the first one as vanilla as possible.

Again, Great work and looking forward to devel3 ...I pray before Friday night??? (love to have it before I go on vacation!)
Thanks, it all depends on progress on the dialer.

The stock dialer that came with the rom once you remove the phone canvas customizations is pretty far off from what we've been using so it is taking a TON of trial & error to get it properly fixed instead of just a workaround.

VerizonGuy,

VistaHide Battery Gage is simply a solid line that appears above the settings (at the very top of the screen) that changes color depending on the power sorce, charge left, etc. dosn't take up hardly any realestate and at a very quick glance I know how the battery is doing.

As for the alarm repeating, by default it doesn't keep repeating, but you can simply change that in the settings.
I do see the little checkbox next to enable alarm that says "repeat alarm" however its been checked (and re-checked) no dice.

NOTE: IF YOU ARE USING HELMI'S ORIGINAL VERIZON WM6 ROM OR MY DEVEL1 EDITION, YOU NEED TO UPDATE YOUR ROM ASAP. There is a huge safety issue. The 911 functionality is completely broken in all verizon roms < devel2. If you dial 911, your phone will lock up.
I was sorta hoping for a Dev3 or other version to clean up the other annoyances... I'm hoping for sometime before the end of the week.. But I don't want anything rushed so it's done well..

Yea I found the fix on another forum if you don't get it included this time, so no big deal.. I just didn't see it mentioned, and should actually be built-in..

This is fine if you dont run anything like intellisync that runs in the tray. Alot of us do.

Also, this thing has been to known to produce memory problems for certain people, and it is shareware.

Awesome Job

I have the second version of this ROM on my VX6700 and all I can tell you is that it works really well. Congrats to Helmi for starting this and to VerizonGuy for extending it for us VZW users. I even incorporated the MSVC 1.6 fixes and my VX6700 now rocks. What more do we need now?
