okay, then use the one you intalled, and ignore the one in ROM that isn't taking any storage anyway!! Jeez dude!!!!! They aren't going to release a new ROM everytime a piece of software inside it is updated, it would be a never ending battle..

I think the thing that is difficult for lots of folks to grasp (and hasn't really been mentioned much) is that the ROM will always take up the same amount of space (40MB) no matter what is in it. Removing this program from ROM will not free up any space, because the ROM file is ALWAYS the same size when it's installed and, hence, the amount of free memory is always the same after a hard reset. This is why the kitchens are so nice, because you can add stuff to the ROM space that would normally take up your user program memory, essentially freeing up more space. The drawback, of course, is revision changes...

Ending a call?

I Was Accustomed To Pressing The red End Key To End A Call, But with the wm6 upgrade its not working , The Only Way To End A Call Is To Press The Software End Key In The Phone App.

Anyone Else Have This / Or An Idea. I Saw That Someone Said The End Key Was Disconnecting Their Data Connection But I Didnt Notice A Reply Or Solution To My Problem

wm6 original dialer missing button

Anyone else notice this, or is it just myself. Regedit, HKLM, Phone, Skin, Change the 1 to 0 and soft reset and you have the original wm6 dialer, which is sort of nifty. Anyway, the arrow button is missing, it is just a white button. Any ideas?? Thanks, this update has been great.

Let me try to explain a little better, lol...

After a soft restart let's say I have roughlt 25mb available program memory.... After using it for the day at work, I close all apps on it, and get ready to leave my office, with no apps open, I'm at like 14mb... where did the rest of it go?? Task Manager and the Memory applet show nothing running, I ran MemMaid, and closed open programs, compactd, etc.. no go... So... Where is that RAM going?

ur absolutly right. it does do that a lot.. always in fact.. after running sum applications the ram keeps on leaking .. and after a day or 2 if u dont reset it shows 16-18-20 left out of an original of 26.5 or sumthing. the soft reset clears it .. but then i didnt check this in 3.5 either. and a settings in 3.5 did a soft rest around 7 am or sumthing each morning so ur fresh n fast for the next day . i wish i can get that registry hack or sumthing in pocket plus or sumthing. but this memory leak is really slowing this thing down with even minimal applications. after using it for sumtime.
i havnt seen this issue addressed onywhere in these threads so will the developers note this and take care of it please.
