i highly doubt this program had anything to do with that. more then likely its the HTC home plugin.

zenak 09-28-2007 08:46 PM

Either way it hadn't happened before. I've done the hard reset and was able to send an MMS, but can't receive. Now I get no notification or anything.

takmsdsm 09-28-2007 09:54 PM

using the arcsoft program or the threader program? are you using the beta i just posted or the one i posted in the first thread?

zenak 09-29-2007 11:39 AM

I'm using beta 1.2 you just posted. I sent using arcsoft, that went fine. I had a few pics sent to me, and they never arrived. In order to troubleshoot I'll remove the palm application completely and see if I can receive in Arcsoft then - as I mentioned I'm not a huge MMS person and can't say for sure that it worked for me there. Scanning the bugs thread I don't see any complaints of that nature, but you never know

zenak 09-29-2007 02:24 PM

Uninstalled and the pix come in fine, after a reinstall I still get no notification at all.

takmsdsm 09-30-2007 08:05 PM

hmmm strange. ok. taking it down til i can figure out why.

magic504 09-30-2007 09:29 PM

msvcm problem

hi i dont knoe if anyone else have this problem. after i install the palm threaded sms on wm6 for my ppc-6700. the microsoft voice command doesnt speak on to my bt headset or on speaker. is there a way to fix it.

Spencer_Moore 10-01-2007 02:49 PM

Would this program work on the moto q. Im tired of fixing my dumb mistakes on my apache and am thinking of going back but if i can't get a threader i might not switch. As this is the most important and used program on my phone. Thanks in advanced

takmsdsm 10-02-2007 09:42 AM

No, it does not work on the q.

takmsdsm 10-02-2007 09:44 AM

Just an update for you verizon people: I havent forgotten about you, i am just slammed at work at the moment, but i hope to tackle this tonight or tomorrow night.

fitbryan 10-02-2007 12:00 PM

thanks! :)

Verizon users:
Is there currently a WM6 phone out for you guys yet?
How do picturemail come in on verizon? Attached? or do you get sent to a website like sprint?
Did the threader work on WM5 with arcsoft MMS where you would receive MMS messages in the pOutlook program with the threader installed?

No. Picrturemail comes in through verizon's server as an MMS message, not a website.

I do not recall MMS working with the threader in WM5. HTH.

takmsdsm 10-02-2007 03:43 PM

for either program? arcsoft and the threader? i dont remember reading that the threader broke Verizons MMS capabilities on WM5.

TMB_XV6700 10-02-2007 04:07 PM

Running WM5 3.5 1.04 kitchen with threader and arcsoft separately - they don't interact or conflict at all. SMS goes to threader and MMS goes to arcsoft.

doesnt it work on verizon? i assumed it worked for everyone.. lol..

coreyoli 10-03-2007 07:24 AM

I'm using the threader without any issues on Verizon... I run a 6700 with Helmi's WM6...

The threader works fine, but MMS doesn't. If you are running the version on the first post then the threader 'steals' the MMS notifications, but won't let you download them. If you are running beta 1.2 then you get no notification at all.

I don't know of any WM6 phones out right now, but they did just announce 4 new ones for the fall.

On WM5 with the threader MMS went to arcsoft and SMS went to Threader, no conflicts at all.

takmsdsm 10-03-2007 09:31 AM

zenak, do you have a copy of the cab file that you were using for WM5? if so, please PM me so i can get it from you.

PPCFreak 10-03-2007 12:23 PM

Any one having issues with Sound notifications?
I get SMS bubble to pop-up but it does not trigger the sound that I have set.
Running WM6 and the Threaded SMS on vx6700.
Also, is there a fix for the MMS on Verizon? It does not work at all for me. Do I need a data plan for it to work? thought it would just charge me the kb usage if no data plan.

coreyoli 10-03-2007 12:26 PM

Hmm.. I seem to be sending duplicates a lot... Verizon, running the original CAB, any ideas? (Helmi's WM6)

zenak 10-03-2007 02:28 PM

Do the Threaded SMS and MMS work together peacefully?

Because I haven't had any issues at all with Helmi's and actually have my phone running the way I want it, except for this little problem, lol...

Is there a way to revert back to the stock SMS, sending duplicates of almost 95% of my txt's is not an option :(...

Well, that just seems to easy!! lol... I remember the version for WM5 was a pain in the arse to install/uninstall (well way back when, may be easier now, lol)

Thanks :)

soundworkspr 10-03-2007 08:39 PM

hey guys just wanted to say that ive been using this SMS app (shogunmark_wm6_threaded) and its working fine no double text messeges i dont know how to put it up or who did it i just know i looked for it when the twinky app didnt work its been running on my mogul for 4 days now with the alltel rom so if any one want to post it here let me know ill send it by e-mail and some one post it

nikki2beeps 10-04-2007 06:58 AM

To all the people sending and recieving duplicate messages. I had this same problem with Twinkys threaded sms version...every time the phone came out of suspend it would resend or re recieve. I remembered with the original threaded sms install you had to be very sure you had all old messages cleared from the device before installing. I uninstalled threaded sms soft reset, checked all my folders in stock sms inbox outbox sentbox and deleted all texts from all folders, then install again and now the program works great ,very reliable. Now if I could just get it to stop showing my texts when it comes out of suspend and get m$vc to read my sms to me it would be a perfect world.

coreyoli 10-04-2007 07:11 AM

I stopped sending duplicates at some point yesterday evening.. I'm starting to think VZW was having SMS issues....... AGAIN!!

redz1234 10-04-2007 04:40 PM

i had that happen 1-2 times with telus.. i found its a more provider issue then a phone issue. i seen it happen to my buddy's who use a regular motorola/nokia phone.

thats great for the mogul. This is meant just for the 6700 running WM6 however. The "shogun" one was tested early on and did not work.

takmsdsm 10-05-2007 11:55 AM

Is this suppose to have both the SMS and MMS working in the Palm Messaging App?

takmsdsm 10-05-2007 12:38 PM

No. This is so verizon people can use the arcsoft program that comes with wm6. the earlier versions disable MMS recieving. Please review the last couple pages to get more info.

zenak 10-05-2007 01:01 PM

Strangely enough, this now delivers the MMS fully to the threaded APP. Whatever you did it works awesome for me!!

Thanks for all the work you've put into this, I love the app and really am enjoying my WM6 better with it there :-)

-EDIT-

I'm not able to send MMS from the Palm SMS, which again isn't a big deal. The real problem is that Arcsoft doesn't use the address book to send pics, so I have to type in the phone number manually, which sucks because I don't know anyone's number.

So if you have the inclination and the time to figure that one thing out it would be great. If you are onto bigger and better stuff then by all means forge onward :-)

Thanks again!

takmsdsm 10-05-2007 01:09 PM

NICE! that is what i was hoping for actually, but didnt think it would work.

I need to make a couple more changes. I am going to set the dafault servers up for Verizon, because regardless, sprint people will get their MMS via SMS with a link.

I will be updating the first post soon

do me a favor, and change the MMS settings under Menu> Options>Advanced> Manual Edit. change all the sprint (mms.sprintpcs.com) info to verizon (found under your arcsoft settings, i cant remember what the server is...) info and see if that will allow sending. I doubt it will, but today has been a day of pleasant surprises so far.

takmsdsm 10-05-2007 02:04 PM

Check first post for updates!!!

zenak 10-05-2007 03:11 PM

http://mms.vtext.com/servlets/mms

I entered it in the threaded app options, and also found it in the registry in one place. After replacing them and soft reseting I get the following from threaded:

Message could not be sent. An unspecified error (0x84) occured while sending this message. Originator address not found.

takmsdsm 10-05-2007 03:13 PM

yeah i got something similiar. oh well. arcsoft still for sending.

Hope everyone enjoys the new version :D
