If you uninstall the WM6 Palm Threaded SMS, you must soft-reset right after you uninstall. Otherwise it will leave files on your device and may not work correctly. As a point, if you uninstall software you should always soft-reset afterwards just to be sure that all items are removed.

Look to see if you have a file called PalmMsgV001. If this is still on your windows dir, then the program is not completely uninstalled. Again, uninstall and do a soft-reset right afterwards. May do a soft-reset and it might fix this.

Cody's threaded messaging works fine with the new rom for me.... didnt have to do anything other than install it. Flawless

I loved the PalmThreaded the best but it would not play with the PocketCM.

Now with 6.1 the integrated threading text actually works well with the PocketCM oem in the new kitchen so I don't miss this cute threader :)

I do have the PalmMsgV001 file still in my Windows directory along with all other files for the threaded sms (dll, emoticons, etc.). Any way to remove these from the directory and revert back to standard SMS operations without a hard reset? There is no option under Remove Programs now for the threaded sms. Thanks...

Try and delete the PalmMsgV001 file and the associated dll files. Other than that, if it doesn't delete you probably will have to hard reset.

Have heard others say that the only way to truely get rid of the Palm threaded App is to do a hard reset.

What is everyone requesting, just the SMS threader? I have Cody's SMS Threader, which works great, but it screws up my MMS.

Thats a known issue with the SMS Threader (cody's or twinky's).

You have to use the stock software for the MMS (ArcSoft in most cases).

Upgrading to WM6.1 with native SMS threader is the best solution.

This is an easy fix. I fixed my old Palm SMS a long time ago, and have posted about the fix plenty of times. Edit the registry in the cab file before you install, and remove every entry that is related to MMS. This will keep the install from setting Palm SMS as the default MMS app.

But, I use WM6.1 now, and luv the built in threader. I've also used WM6 with the stock WM6.1 threader as well. Tis how much I liked it...

Just google "Cody's SMS Threader" or google WM6 SMS Threader. It's not hard. I would recommend upgrading to WM6.1 and use the built-in threader. It's great! Make sure you use the PPC Kitchen. you can select which options you want (It's posted all over this forum).

i believe the palm threader to be superior to the built in 6.1 threader. i find in 6.1 if i send a message and immediately power off the phone and pocket it, the message won't be sent. it seems the 6.1 threader needs left on for a few moments before it actually sends the message. :\

Is this the same thing as ShogunMark's threaded SMS application ripped from Palm? Because his rip has some bugs which everybody gave up on fixing.
