Have you tried flashing the original stock ROM? (available ath the UTStarcom site.) NOT the Sprint version of WM6 ROM!
Have you made sure that all of your USB cables are good and you're not connecting using a USB hub?
Have you tried the two different programs/steps for getting out of BootLoader mode (which is what it sounds like you are in)?
Are you using an XP or Vista computer? It sounds like this is working OK with Vista, but XP seems to be more reliable.
Thank you so much Trident for helping me.

However, I tried downloading the "AKU2.0 fix application" for sprint on the actual website as you previously suggested. Its the only file I could find there, it was about 43 megs. I am in no way "Computer Stupid." I work as a database engineer for a reputable company, and I cant get this thing to work! I just got this phone brand new still in a sealed box a week ago so there must be something Im missing. Maybe I downloaded the wrong file? Trident, I would appreciate ANY help you can throw at me, I am desperate.

I tried without the usb hub and my usb cable is brand new, I am using windows XP. Let me tell you exactly what my screen show when I soft reset it. It shows the HTC logo only, with some random numbers/characters at the bottom. It just stays there, doesnt move from this screen at ALL. I left it for over an hour and still there. I just did the UTC thing you told me to d/l, now it shows the sprint logo and freezes and does nothing.

The only update I did was the wm6 update.

did you do a hard reset as previously suggested. both soft keys+reset button?

the phone will ask you if you want to. you must press Y on keyboard and then press "space" bar to continue.

then load the rom you want.

I swear to you, I did this already, I press Y, I press Spacebar, it restarts, and then it sticks on the sprint screen.

That is absolutely correct. And Ive tried installing everything but the kitchen sink. I am just wondering if Im installing the wrong files. I downloaded the ppc6700 update file from sprint which was about 40 megs, did nothing. I downloaded the one off the UTSTARCOM website, installed it, nothing. I dont know what to do
