Flashed the Sprint ROM and let it do the full install. Absolutely no issues, even plays video full screen in landscape mode. Very, very sweet.

Thank you so much Helmi.

hey

i would just like to say i've been using this since about 12:30 MIDNIGHT...and this thing is rediculous....i can't believe we're using Win Mobile 6 on Apache...awesome job Helmi...

BTW....those having issues...i'm kinda confused....he packaged the rom in one executable...now...you can go ahead and do bootloader if you like...but that wasn't necessary...just plug your ppc 6700 into the computer and run setup....(I have vista btw)...your phone will automatically go into botloader mode....and after about 3-5 min. your phone will be considered gold...

I have a question...

With Internet Sharing, is Phone as Modem option and Sprint PCS connection option any different? I usually use internet sharing without issue...but i noticed this option on the mogul..and i know that the mogul wasn't "fixed" to have sprint not recognize...

will that "change" with this rom or not...thanks

Queer Thing with sprint version of Wm6

Thanks Helmi,

This is indeed a great job. Theres a bug i noticed on the sprint version. When a text message comes in, you cant see the name or number of the person that sent the text message to you. so when you tab "reply" on the return address it has the first couple of lines of the text message received as the contact name. This means you have to always guess who sent you the message and then compose a new message to them. .

I'm trying to follow the instructions that Hemli laid out at the start of the thread. He mentions to put the device in bootloader mode, then run the updater app. I'm running Windows Vista on my PC. If I put the device in bootloader mode then connect I get a 101 NOT CONNECTED error. If I just have the 6700 running normally, plug it in, then run the updater, it detects my phone just fine and is ready to upgrade.

Am I creating a problem by NOT having the phone in bootloader mode? Just want to verify before I pull the trigger.

first off - big thanks!

flash was succesful, as was the sprint customizing -> reset

Since I dont use outlook, I used PIMbackup v2.5 to save my contacts, calls, etc. prior to flash. Restore was successful as well, but I noticed some severe slow downs after. A soft reset seemed to to the trick, but I see no icons in on call history screen, and where they should be I see the dialer that I presume is under it. I am deleting all the stored calls for now and see if things work themselves out. Clearly this could be an issue with PIMbackup and not the ROM.

Some of the other things I will be testing and looking out for are:

A2DP performance with moto S805 headset

Battery life

The stupid screen turning on by itself - I really hope this is no longer an issue, it drives me crazy.

Will report back on these and anything else of interest.

Thanks again.

I posted this over in the Bugs thread (let's try and post bugs over there), but I'll post it here too

For those of you who are having the text messaging issues, did you let the carrier customizations run? I remember having this issue with a previous ROM, and what fixed it was to NOT let the carrier customization run.

Try hard resetting your phone, and when it prompts that it is going to start the customization in 3 seconds, do a soft reset and see if that works.

Just a note, that all of the customizations for your carrier are built into the ROM (assuming you installed the correct one for your carrier So you should never let the customization run!

Now all we need from you is a solid iPhone ROM and the universe will be complete. We have faith in you...

Go to Settings/System.....you will find it there...as Helmi said in the 1st post
