hello i am quite a new at all this but since i bought a used ppc6700 i have found all this quite interesting and would like to try the 6.5 rom i am with telus and have no data pac with them i just use wifi for data and telus for calls i updateed with the kitchen last time to 6.1 and version 2.02 will this rom work the same... thank you

It should be pretty much the same, but it isn't nearly as stable and some stuff has moved around. I'm trying it out on my 6700 and it's not to bad. Buggy and it freezes sometimes, slow at others, but overall, it's pretty nice.

hello guys im a noob at this but I like to try it . I have bootloader 2.02 I have downloaded apache 21169 witch is a rar file what do I do with that ? Is there a detailed description some where how to do this .

that SD card accelerator, does it work for 6.1? i have a problem on all copies of windows so far is i keep my ring tones on mem card and when the device wakes up to try and ring half the ring is silent and i was wondering if that SD speed trick would fix or anything that you guys would know to help? thanks

i am having problems downloading dre's rom(and anything file from ppc geeks thats large).The download will start out fine,but after downloading part of the file the computer goes ''file download complete''.Anyone with an idea on what the problem is?i have tried different computers,so i'm thinking the problem is at ppc geeks end

Even though samsungs run win mo too they differ very much in drivers and kernals and bootloader. In a nutshell dont try it. I work for vzw and have had a i760 get an HTC if you like custom roms.

CAB File please? Also, what build is it? I have several builds that I have tried, and none work. Even the latest one that was just released in the last few days don't work.

Just to be clear, you can sync and send and recieve email with the one you have in your kitchen, correct? Can you please attach a cab? Thanks in advance.

No cab available. The oem is made from the wm6.5 21198 sys build of windows live. It has to be cooked in in kitchen. If you get greloc error on windows live oem solution is also in my kichen thread.

Anyway the splash screen can be extracted and posted here in .png format? I want to use it in my 6.1 kitchen build as 6.5 is just a little to buggy ATM.

Does anyone know if we will get a working Apache version the the kitchen in this thread? I'd love to cook my own OEMs into a 6.5 ROM and test.

running fine with the new Windows Live Mobile, Microsoft MyPhone, and Garmin Mobile XT. Only glitches come from WMP, and only with certain songs due to memory constraints. Running WM6.5 it's getting more and more apparent that the 64mb RAM is growing too small for this ROM's powerhouse of new features. I think that by the time WM7 rolls out, we'll all be forced to bite the bullet and retire the glorious 2yr veteran Apache for the Touch Pro 2 (gotta have the slide out keyboard.) I just can't afford the $500 it costs to upgrade now. :( Great, solid ROM though. Do you have a PayPal?

Yep the apache has been out like 4 yrs now and probably wont run WM7 but thats whats we though about WM6.5 too :P. My paypal link is my 6.5 kitchen thread in vogue forums and I think a link to that thread is a few posts above. FYI Kitchen is now updated for Apache 21202.

Forgive me, but I tried to follow the instructions for the Apache, but it isn't working. Can you upload just what I need for the Apache, and upload them as one archive? I got confused I think because of the wording of the instructions. Place and then unzip, etc. I don't know, maybe just more precise directions will be enough. I just don't know what is easier for you to do. I've got lots of experience with BuildOS, but not when it comes to replacing files and manually adding parts to the kitchen.

i tried it and it was funny till i had to redo everything, after a certain date they ceace to work i beleive it was set to 7/1 and it may seem far but while i do like to flash my phone if i found something that i wanted to stay with i would definatly want to patch it b4 flash ill upload the file

21501 is out now in the official version.

I guess we will all have to wait for a Kitchen version for the Apache.

Wizzard how do you mean official? Looks like a 21501 build is listed under downloads but isn't showing up in updater yet and looks like there is an Apache core there also. Anyone know how this compares with 21042, which I must say is brilliant ie: fast and stable.

thats not even funny running 21202 without a hitch so far would have to force myself a reason to want an upgrade lol, but yea i still do want an upgrade and will get one soon enough but the 6700 will live forever it seems

I agree, the 6700 has been bullet proof. I got an omnia, but am going to give it to the wife when I can finally get a Touch Pro HD to replace the 6700. It's fun going to MS Business Intelligence events with the old brick and showing off stuff that even the MS folks don't have :D

i started running 21202 as of today, and it is an improvement but it is running HELLA SLOW right now from text messages to comm manager showing, is there any suggestions for this?

today it has taken me over 5 mins to have one text msg sent becuz how long it takes for it to load

thats a bit long its been on for a couple of days now no restarts and i would get little slowdowns but nothing too unlike the ones we 6700 owners would get in WM6.1 occasionally where it would be 30-45 seconds at most( i also do install alot of progs)

My cooking comp is down at the moment with most of my tools and files on it. After I get it fixed I'll upload a generic 21234 (which btw runs great on my 6900 and touch pro) or whatever is the most current wm6.5 at the time rom for you guys. I haven't forgotten you.
