Guruusa, is it possible to put wmreloc in the kitchen some way so us noobs would have a familiar way to upgrade to 6.5?

Thanks for all of your hard work!

Finally got upgraded to 6.5. It does seem to work very well so far. I'm using sprint. I will say this, it runs much smoother when you change the theme to get rid of the bird in the background. Looks like memory runs tight on it, so cutting out background pictures seems to help.

The new start menu is so slow on every device ive tried it on. I'm hoping future sys fixes that.

For what its worth, flashing a ROM is easier than using the kitchen, as there are no real choices to make... That said, I do NOT recommend a Noob install this, as it is still a "test" build...

Re: The Apache Lives on.... WM6.5 pics

After using it some, I have needed a reset. Overall I like the rom. The sd card seems to disappear from time to time requiring a reset to fix that as well. The scrolling I can live with. Really right now, the main issue I have is locking the thing. The onlock program I always used in the past doesn't seem to function with 6.5. Hitting start then lock is fairly sluggish.

Ok, I just noticed that the data connection is technically working but only connecting X1. The rom seems to be native for Verizon, so it thinks the phone is roaming or something and won't data connect to Ev. Any suggestions? I want to use this rom. And I feel like I just need the sprint customizations but I'm not dead certain about how to get them.

unlock your ext rom and install your sprint customizations that are needed. search for info on it.

Is there a way to install the 6.5 ROM from the SD Card? I'd like to try it.

Thanks in advance.

Bad me. I unlocked my extended rom a long time ago and I've been using it for storage. Looking for the real sprint extended rom now so I can put it back but I haven't found it yet. May have to go back to a kitchen build I guess.

You could try a DCD carrier cab

So I just need to replace nk.nbf in my original sprint rom and this will load 6.5? I have only upgraded using the kitchen and roms that had the ruu included....

Use the Kitchen NoId RUU for your bootloader. If it errors for vendor/carrier follow directions for supercid. New one is for .04 and .05 bootloaders.

What bootloader do you have? Exactly what problem or error code are you getting? And which RUU are you using to flash the 6.5 nk.nbf?

Bootloader 2.02 with error code 150 (not for this device) and am using the NOid RUU posted by you in post #54...

I also hard reset a couple of times to try and clear things up...still didnt work.

Good you are almost there. Follow the guide on supercid which will allow you to flash another carrier's rom and you are done.

This is not meant to be a daily use rom and is extremely beta and is meant for a preview only. There will be many bugs and the purpose of this post at this point is not to get a perfectly working 6.5 on apache but to show that it could run on an apache. Apache included wm6.5 is not stable enough yet to run on any device as a daily use phone.
21159 Preview VZW 1.00 & 1.02 Bootloader Devices

I really don't what the issue is. I just used a generic winmo 6.0 RUU and replaced the .nbh file, put my phone into bootloader, flashed the generic ROM with the new .nbh file and it worked fine! You just have to get your carrier cab found here: http://dcd1182.n715dp.com/index.php?dir=carriers/
most carriers are in the link! Don't thank me. thank the guys over at XDA for the link!:headbang:
Thanks drellisdee, the sys file is amazing on my Apache!

Come on people this isn't howardforums. The .nbf is the ROM. You place it in the correct RUU (Rom Update Utility) place phone in bootloader plug in usb to pc and flash.

thats the problem i dont no how to just flash it using the nbf file.im accustom to the installer crap like the package pda had put together.

Re: The Apache Lives on.... WM6.5 pics

What bootloader do you have? You put the .nbf into the ruu. I uploaded all 3 ruu for apache the other day. After we know what bootloader I can assist from there. FYI 6.5 isn't for novice or daily use as its still very beta and you will most likely need to flash back to your current rom.

The new RUU is the correct bootloader for you. You can try it but it might country/carrier error. If that happens I would recommend to stop b/c it will require a supercid unlock to flash it which I wouldn't recommend if you are just starting out. To try flashing place the .nbf into the NEW bootloader RUU and place phone in bootloader connect your sync cable and double click the ROMUpgradeUt.exe. RUU's are on post #54.

Re: The Apache Lives on.... WM6.5 pics

If you get Country ID you can always downgrade to v2.02 and use NoID... I wish someone would through a NoID together for other bootloader verisons...

For someone who knows what they are doing supercid is much easier and safer IMO.
