Re: Apache WM6.1 Build 20924 kitchen
I was referring specifically to this product. It is 100% pointless - unless you've jacked with stuff you shouldn't be touching (it is not necessary to touch _any_ of the distributed files)

Re: Apache WM6.1 Build 20924 kitchen
... So, what does 19716 and the newer builds to this one, fix? I really don't think I have any problems at all, so I can't imagine how the newer builds can be any faster or more stable. Why did we even need to update the Apache ROM, anyways? Maybe I am being naive, or mis-guided, but I just don't see any reasons why I should update, other than getting newer OEM's, and helping test this kitchen build.

Actually, no. I have been running only the latest Custom ROM's from the kitchen, for well over a few years now. I was just curious how come we were still getting new updates to the WM6.1 Kitchen. Set aside from maybe bluetooth, how many things are updated or changed/improved from the 19716 Builds, to this one? I am currently running the 716 build, and really can't see anything that is locking up, or any lag. Maybe I just have gotten used to it, and don't know what I am missing? |

Re: Apache WM6.1 Build 20924 kitchen
Just did attempt #2 on this. Added some more oem's and seems to be up and running fine. Does not seem to be as fast as the 20755 build but I am not getting problems switching between apps. There was some lag going from landscape to portrai and back but nothing serious.
All in all I would recommend 20755 over this. I'd be happy to test out this build some more, if there is some information I can relay to fix the bugs. |

Re: Apache WM6.1 Build 20924 kitchen
See the attached jpg. This is the error i get every time I choose from the selections. Is there a fix? I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling.
Edit: This happens when i choose any of the selections. Last edited by kevdawg; 11-15-2008 at 11:19 AM. |

Whats not easy was figuring out the speed problem ith the new rom,... It is the common rar files. There may be a missing file, havent checked yet. I had to open selections file and choose older rar .. Sory I am not able to give more details now as I am leaving work. So from my testing it is not the patches folder... EDIT EDIT EDIT: EDIT: Woops I think by changing SYS_20924_Common.rar for\SYS_20755_Common.rar in the "Groups\Apache_WM6.1_20924_96DPI_0409.txt file I think I just made it load the 20755rom. I was having slowdowns with the older 20755 rom as well, so it could also be that since the two textfiles are basically pointing at the same things since my change... so it actually could be the only other thing I did was that I removed the patches folder from the apache core, and inserted my patches folder again, since I had slowdowns nomatter which version I used. So I guess more testing needed. But at least its workig fast again. Last edited by Maxx134; 11-15-2008 at 06:32 PM. Reason: More testing needed |

I upgrade because I am learning/creating OEMs. Quote:
Run updater, goto Kitchens, then Apache Kitchens, then look for new Apache core rar, check box and update... |
