Uninstalled.
I still get the XIP error when I try to use this kitchen, but now I can use the regular Helmi_c kitchen fine.

[OFF-TOPIC]
I had installed beta 1 when it came out, and it ran pretty well, in general. Then, when IE B2 came out, I noticed problem after problem, and ended up with viruses and having to re-format. Luckily, I am really good at that kind of stuff, and was planning on doing a re-format anyways. I say, don't even let it stay on your machine; I noticed that it caused problems to the point that even my main browsers were having major problems. I think it was related to the IE8 Addon site; I think that it has infected add-ons or something.

And beware installing IE8 b2 if you have XP SP3, they lock eachother in and you can't remove either one.

IE8 B2: I alwasy test on a Virtual Machine build first.

And I had lockup after lockup after lockup with WinXP SP3 and IE8 B2. B1 was just fine with the VM (using virtual pc 2007).

Re: Apache WM6.1 20273 Kitchen

As I posted over on Lenny's forum, this build bogged my Apache way down. I had it stripped down and it still was slower than windows xp on a pentium 2. So I switched to a different build.

Re: Apache WM6.1 20273 Kitchen

Okay I went over to the thread Lenny put in the first post. Trident made that thread and said that he just made it and it ran fine. But here he says he has problems with it ??? I don't understand are there two different guys? LOL. Just thought that was pretty strange.

Sometimes it seems that way.
When he first posted the completed build for the kitchen, I did get it running.
But after a while it got really sluggish.
So I went back to the regular 19716 build.
I just got a refurb Apache and tried the 20273 kitchen again, but after making some changes that were suggested in that thread (I think you're talking about the HTCGeeks site) and this one, I couldn't get the ROM to process correctly.
I think I've found my mistakes, but haven't had a chance to try them out.
I'll probably do so this weekend.

Re: Apache WM6.1 20273 Kitchen

I am going to try out this version. I have put the services.exe and the two wireless .dll's in the patches folder and added the selections entry to recognize it. I can't wait to see if it works.

keep up the great work! Lenny

Re: Apache WM6.1 20273 Kitchen

I could not get any of the HTC Task Managers to work correctly. not even 2.0.20487.1 which worked with both the official 6.1 kitchens. I tried the other task managers available and really dont like 'em. I'll be switching back to another release.. atleast untill I hear HTC task manager works properly on this version.

The problems I experienced were either the Task Manager refused to launch at all.. or when it did, I had problems with the task bar completely disappearing on me. the start menu was still there, i just could not see.

Where is this "patches" folder?
I've installed in the default location...
