Re: Why does the new BuildOS need a username containing at least 5 letters?

So, I gotta tell you. I'm on the fence about this whole situation. Now that I'm anybody in this community to voice my opinoin. I've only got, what? 50 posts? I've donated a little but not much.

One one side - I'm thankful. Greatful. Beyond ecstatic about what you all have done. It's an amazing feat. One that has taken an unimaginable amount of personal time, I'm sure. I don't know if you guys are kids, single, or married with kids, but if you have families, please extend my thanks to them for putting up with your dedication to this project.

On the other side, very simply, I'd just like to know what the point of the authentication is. I don't think it's suspicious. But being a geek, I'd like to know how it's going to help us, and/or you. I assume that at some point we'll get an explanation. Maybe in the future when it's put to use. Maybe it's just there for a trial run of something you have planned. But for now, I'm just stoked that this all works.

Thanks once again guys.

Re: Why does the new BuildOS need a username containing at least 5 letters?

Trying to login BuildOS. It updated last night when I ran it. Today, it's giving me 'Login failed for user 'raybudd'. I've always used the same login as on this site. Any ideas? Thanks

Because you misspelled your password, more than likely. Try again.

Re: Why does the new BuildOS need a username containing at least 5 letters?

OK, I have a question. What about us dumb sorts who forget our passwords???

If I recall correctly, the kitchen password is not connected to the password we use on this site???

Is there a way to reset our kitchen password??

Thank you very much!!!

Not currently, but it can be done if you let it be known you need it.
