Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308
Well I plan to stick with the 6700 for quite some time. I am after the tethering ability. I really missed that after upgrading from my pre evdo phones.

So lets start at the top. Do you know what version of the bootloader you have? Usually its like 1.04 or 2.05. Something like that. The way to find out is to press power key and the voice recorder key together, along with pushing your stylus into the bottom left reset button all at the same time. This will display the bootloader version to you. Just put it under the light to read. Once you have that then you can choose the proper revision in the kitchen. Unless you have a funky 6700 you should pick Standard for the RUU. You dont need Activesync to build from the kitchen. When you put your 6700 into bootloader mode the OS will pick the USB connection up automatically...at least it should! I hope this helps you get going. The kitchen is awesome and the guys are continually perfecting it. Should you have addtl questions please feel free to PM me. Steve |

Unfortunately, you DO need Activesync...Activesync installs the Windows drivers for the phone. You don't have to have activesync running to flash, but you do have to have it installed.

I have 2 questions.
Is there a SprintTV available for apache? How do I get notifications to always sound? Right now if I am in email screen and I get new email I don't get another notification. (exchange mail) Same also works if i am in txt messaging and I get another txt message no sound. |

Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308
Hmmm is there a way to install the driver DLL's without active sync installing? (later I am going to try decompressing the download once I have it and sick the hardware finder on it and see if I get lucky)
Although it was almost ten years ago I remember my last endeavor with AS was a very unpleasant one especially since I really never use a PDA in such a way as to ever need AS ![]() I could always image the drive install AS do the flash and then restore the pre AS drive image but thats a Royal PITA ![]() I assume I should wait till AFTER I have this phone programmed for my number to do any of this? |

As to the notifications have you taken a stroll through the Sounds and Notifications dialog in the Settings. I just took a peek there and there is alot of customization you can do on the Notifications section. Hit the Event dropdown box and there is lots of messaging stuff. Take a look at the OEMizer also. There is a section called Sounds and Notifications, where you can define alot that would be built into your ROM. Does that answer the question? Steve |

Re: Apache WM6.1 Kitchen CE OS 5.2.19716 (Build 19716.1.0.0) - UPDATED 20080308
can't the sprint tv app for wm6 be ported over if your running the new wm6 for apache (I am clueless on this so it may be really obvious to anyone besides me why that can not work
![]() I found the bootloader mode thanks to help in chat and its 2.02 and they too said to pick standard unless its funky or fails ![]() Can I flash this to wm6 BEFORE I have ESN swapped or is that asking for trouble? (waiting for the ESN to clear and my trigger finger is getting itchy ![]() also if the SHTF and I want to go "back" to wm5 is that even possible? |
